Looking for a New York City vibe without venturing there? Look no further than Mizu Sushi in Hyde Park. When you walk in you’ll easily be transported to the city with the restaurant’s sleek, hip, and modern interior décor. The sushi here is just as fabulous as the décor.
The menu has a great variety of sushi rolls such as the Alaska Roll, Yellowtail Scallion Roll, King Crab roll, and more. Those were just some of their basic sushi rolls. They also have what they call “Mizu Fancy Roll”. Some of these sushi rolls are Black Jack, Out of Control, Hot Girl, Golden Apple, Six Flags and many more. These rolls all had really awesome names. For those that aren’t big fans of sushi no worries. Mizu has a great selection of noodle, rice, teriyaki, tempura, grill, and wok dishes.
I ended up selecting a roll from the Mizu Fancy Rolls. It was called the Power Roll. This roll contains crab tempura, asparagus, mango, beef, and scallions with a yuzu sauce. All I can say about my selection is HEAVENLY. I highly recommend it. My selection was on the pricey side. But overall it’s a very college budget friendly place. Another thing I must note is the customer service. The staff was extremely warm and friendly, which added to the pleasant experience.
Next time you’re craving sushi or want a city like experience make sure to visit Mizu Sushi.
