Chocolate Madness

So, in case you haven’t noticed from my other blog posts I have a thing for chocolate. I found this awesome chocolate shop a little bit ago while exploring New Paltz. The fabulous shop is called Krause’s Chocolates. This place is awesomesauce! When you walk in you smell chocolate paradise. That’s the best way to describe the glorious smell of this place. What’s great about this place is that it’s a family run business.

The shop began when Alfred Krause ,who had been apprenticed as a candy maker in Germany, came to the states.  He and his wife started their wonderful shop in 1929 and today it’s four generations strong. All the chocolate is hand made! You can’t beat that. Some of the delectable treats you can find here are peanut brittle, gummies,  chocolate covered coffee beans, fudge, chocolate covered Oreos, butter crunch, mint truffles, and the list just goes on and one. A bonus is that they have gluten free, sugar free, and organic options. So, there’s no need to feel guilty when indulging your sweet tooth.

Make sure you visit this sweet shop you need a chocolate fix. This place also has some cool specialty items. It can be your one stop shop if you’re buying a gift. Nothing says I care about you like chocolates.

P.S. If you can’t make it to the store you can also shop online :). They’ve also been crowned as Best of the Hudson Valley.
